Giulia Pizzini (MSc.) is the leader of the Local action for energy and climate team.
She is the coordinator of PROSPECT+, co-coordinator of NECPlatform and IEECP lead for the SEED MICAT project. Her main fields of expertise include European Energy (Efficiency) Policy, with a focus the role of local and regional authorities and national governments, especially concerning capacity building and the implementation of multi-level and multi-stakeholders governance; energy planning in cities and regions; the energy efficiency first principle.
Before IEECP, Giulia has been working in the Executive Agencies of the European Commission (EASME and CINEA) dealing mainly with the evaluation, management and assessment of Horizon 2020 projects and in the drafting of the H2020 Energy Efficiency Work Programme. She has been involved in the organization of the Covenant of Mayors Investment Forum – Energy Efficiency Finance Market Place from 2019 to 2021. Before that, she has been working with local and regional authorities in awareness raising, education and communication campaigns in the fields of sustainable energy, climate change and waste.
Giulia holds a MSc. in Environmental Policy and Regulation at the London School of Economics and Political Sciences and a MSc in International and Diplomatic Sciences at the University of Trieste.
