Jen Heemann has over 10 years of experience in sustainable development strategies in cities and regions. Since 2017, she has focused on climate action planning and implementation in European cities and regions, working as researcher and supporting EU-funded projects.
Since May 2020, she is a Researcher and Project Manager at IEECP, where she is part of the development and coordination of projects focused on improving public authorities’ capacity in implementing climate-related measures. In the EC H2020 funded project REGILIENCE (Resilience Strategies for Regions), Jen acts as project manager and is responsible for the stakeholder engagement strategy. Also, she is highly involved in the H2020 projects PROSPECT+ (Capacity building for cities and regions – from learning to action!) and ENERGee Watch (peer-to-peer learning programme), supporting project management and being responsible for the detailed structure and plan of the capacity building programmes.
Jen holds an MSc degree in Urban Management and Development from Erasmus University Rotterdam, where she mastered the topic of critical factors that influence the implementation of SECAPS.
