Getting companies to engage is a crucial task for EU-funded projects working to improve industrial energy efficiency. Engagement, however, does not always come easy, often becoming a setback more than a booster for research.

Looking to exchange experiences with other projects and teams, AUDIT2MEASURE partners Esther Hardi (IEECP), Simone Maggiore (RSE), and Francisco Puente (ESCAN) attended CINEA’s LIFE / Horizon 2020 contractor workshop on the clean energy transition of the business sector.

Distributed in small discussion groups, more than 50 participants shared their knowledge and lessons learnt on working on energy efficiency in small and medium companies and industry. Based on this exchange, the AUDIT2MEASURE consortium will now have more tools to provide useful support services to businesses when engaging them in the project.

Standardization was also a topic of this workshop, as it should apply to European projects just as much as it applies to industries. The workshop hosted European projects with a focus on energy audits measures and support schemes, industrial parks and clusters, financing, and PDA. The session was hosted by the European Commission.
