IEECP is proud to announce a new partnership with a global event, the Smart City Expo World Congress, that will be held in Barcelona from November 7 until 9. The Congress is the leading international event for the smart city sector, a key meeting point for experts and leaders of the world’s most innovative cities, companies, research centers and international organizations. Over 24,000 professionals are expected from more than 800 cities and over 600 international speakers that will share their vision on how to build a more sustainable and livable urban future.

The event’s director, Ugo Valenti, said that “The 2023 edition of Smart City Expo will be the biggest ever and we will witness the return of the urban innovation ecosystem in full force. Now is the time to go beyond dreams and inspiration. Amid the so-called Decade of Action, we need to walk the talk and future-proof our cities so they can effectively make themselves more sustainable, efficient, and livable. Many are already on the right path, and Smart City Expo World Congress is a chance to contribute to this goal.

This year’s event will focus on eight main tracks touching the most pressing issues facing cities: Enabling Technologies, Energy & Environment, Mobility, Governance, Living & Inclusion, Economy, Infrastructure & Building and Safety & Security.

After last years’ success, the event will blend the physical venue with the digital space, allowing to reach a wider audience while giving everybody the opportunity to experience the event in full.
