IEECP is a non-for-profit, independent research institute working since 2015 in several European-funded projects in the fields of energy efficiency, climate policy, energy poverty, demand side management, business models for energy efficiency and related financing in the framework of cities, regions and countries. IEECP’s international interdisciplinary team is working across Europe to generate and disseminate scientific and policy knowledge. We act as a knowledge-hub sharing pragmatic results as well as innovative ideas providing policymakers, and all private and public decision-makers, independent expertise and science-based research to support their work towards the energy transition and a sustainable future. IEECP has a rich experience in managing EU-funded, predominantly Horizon 2020-funded, climate action and energy transition projects, as coordinator or partner, engaging stakeholders, drafting policy syntheses and recommendations, evaluating policies, analysing data and statistics as well as developing tools, libraries, capacity building and learning programmes. We work closely with EU institutions, international organisations, national, regional and local governments, think-tanks, NGOs, academics and the business world to lead the transition to climate neutrality and to a sustainable energy future for various sectors. In view of expanding these activities, we are searching for a motivated professional working in these fields, with at least 3-5 years of professional experience in project-related activities, depending on the seniority level you will apply for. More specifically, the work will be divided across various projects working on topics such as evaluating and monitoring energy efficiency policies, local and regional governance on energy and climate, energy poverty, climate adaptation, and much more. The position will entail working with and gathering networks of key stakeholders in Brussels.
The expert will be responsible for various research and innovation projects from IEECP’s project portfolio with the following main activities:
- Project coordination: management, follow up and reporting
- Project implementation
- Acquisition for new calls under Horizon Europe, LIFE CET and other funding schemes.
- Based in Brussels
- Availability for travelling at national level (mostly in Europe)
- Languages needed: English (fluent)
- A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in similar functions and role
- Existing network with key stakeholders in Brussels
- Expertise in energy efficiency policies and energy policies and previous experience managing EU-funded projects
- Desirable: PhD topic in the relevant field (although not a formal requirement)
- Full time position
