Circular REDesign for a Resource-efficient, Innovative, and Transformative Built Environment

The mission of CRedIBLE is to accelerate the transition to a circular and resource efficient built environment. The project will aim to empower architects, engineers, policymakers, and industry stakeholders to design buildings that can be adapted, reused, and disassembled rather than demolished. By connecting digital technologies with new construction practices, reducing environment impact while enabling smarter, longer-lasting use of materials.

Objectives

The overall objective of CRedIBLE is to develop an interoperable digital ecosystem that supports the design, renovation, adaptation, and deconstruction of buildings throughout their lifecycle. By integrating BIM workflows, life cycle assessment, digital product passports, and AI-based decision support, the project enables stakeholders to plan and implement circular construction practices that reduce material waste, minimise embodied carbon, and increase the reuse and recovery potential of building components.
