As part of the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) 2026, the 2Cool2Waste cluster will organise an online webinar dedicated to the future of sustainable heating and cooling technologies on 19 June 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM (CET).
The webinar, titled “The future of energy efficiency: practical solutions for heat recovery and electrification”, will bring together eight EU-funded projects to showcase innovative approaches and concrete solutions supporting Europe’s energy transition and industrial decarbonisation efforts.
Through thematic panel discussions, participants will explore practical strategies and technological advances in heat recovery, electrification, net-zero technologies, thermal energy management, and heat reuse. The webinar will also address the challenges and opportunities linked to industrial and district heating and cooling systems, highlighting how collaborative European research and innovation projects are contributing to lower emissions and greater energy efficiency across Europe.
The event aims to foster knowledge exchange between researchers, industry representatives, policymakers, and energy stakeholders interested in advancing sustainable and efficient heating and cooling solutions.
The webinar is organised within the framework of the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW), the European Union’s flagship annual event dedicated to renewable energy and energy efficiency. Organised by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Energy and the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA), EUSEW brings together public authorities, industry, NGOs, and citizens to discuss the latest developments shaping Europe’s clean energy future.
The 20th edition of EUSEW takes place in a hybrid format, both onsite in Brussels and online, from 9 to 11 June 2026. The programme includes a high-level Policy Conference, the European Sustainable Energy Awards Ceremony, the Energy Fair, the European Youth Energy Day, and numerous Sustainable Energy Days organised across Europe and beyond.
