The webinar will explore how energy poverty is being addressed at EU and national levels. Isabel Pereira (ADENE) will show the data available in the ODYSSEE and MURE databases about indicators and policy measures relevant to energy poverty. João Pedro Gouveia (NOVA School of Science and Technology) will provide an overview of the EU policy framework and the role of the Energy Poverty Advisory Hub (EPAH) in supporting local authorities through data tools, capacity building and policy guidance. Madalena Santos (ADENE) will outline Portugal’s approach to energy poverty, including its long-term plan, action measures and evaluation mechanisms. It will also highlight the work of the National Energy Poverty Observatory and its contribution to policy creation and monitoring. João Alpalhão will present the LIFE project SaveEnergy Together and its Braga pilot, showcasing simple energy efficiency interventions for vulnerable households.
