Energy audit data from manufacturing sector remains an underused resource. If systematically collected and structured, it could significantly improve benchmarking practices and strengthen the evidence base for energy efficiency policy.
This webinar will explore how moving from statistical to audit-based analysis can improve energy efficiency assessment in the industrial sector, and what practical barriers stand in the way. This will be illustrated through Portugal’s experience with SGCIE (In-tensive Energy Consumption Management System) and Italy’s experience with ENEA’s benchmarking methodology from data of mandatory energy audits, while also briefly showing how Estonia is beginning to test the use of energy and resource audit data for efficiency assessment and benchmarking.
