[Newsletter] Guiding SMEs and national authorities through the energy transition by taking profit of multiple benefits and energy management approaches

The DEESME newsletter is out!

If you missed the first one, you can find it here: it introduced DEESME’s concept, objectives and activities.

What happened since then?

Over a year since the project start, we have released several publications, on the policies and multiple benefits of energy audits and management approaches, we provided guidelines for national authorities to overcome the challenges of article 8 of the Energy Efficiency Directive, and much more. We have uploaded a freely-accessible tool supporting the implementation of the multiple benefits approach and organised, collaboratively with 6 other Horizon 2020 projects, an event during the EU Sustainable Energy Week Towards a decarbonized Europe: Increasing energy efficiency in SMEs for clean energy transition. The material and recording are available.

What is coming next?

We hope that the DEESME proposed multiple benefits approach will motivate SMEs to see energy management from a new perspective that connects energy efficiency to business development and improvement. Training activities and many events are in the pipeline to transfer the work we have been doing this past year.

This newsletter contains valuable content for national authorities and other policymakers as well as for companies, do not hesitate to make it travel to share our work.
