Updates on SEED MICAT national events!
The 2nd series of the national workshops was successfully held in November and December, for the pilot cases of Czechia and Italy.
The first half of the sessions’ agenda pertained to the recent developments of the MICAT tool, and the RES module integration, while the second part focused on the National showcases presentation, including preliminary findings and results on the Multiple Impacts calculation for a series of measures employed in Czechia and Italy.
The participants of the two national events referred to representatives from the Ministries of Industry and Trade, Finance, as well as energy consulting agencies.
The follow up discussions within the two national workshops covered a wide range of thematics, including the tool’s potential to assess the measure’s impacts on air quality and indoor quality conditions, as well as the benefits related to health aspects. Regarding the newly introduced RES component of the tool, the participants expressed interested in learning more about the hydrogen integration in industry within the frameworks of energy mix diversification, as well as the comparison between RES and EE measures.
The discussions further focused on the tool’s ability to quantify the increased value of real estate assets, and inform the development of targeted subsidy measures, as well as its potential in capturing the effects on employment and fiscal impacts .
