IEECP in collaboration with AISFOR and Ecoserveis Cultura Energètica, invites professionals, public officials, housing experts, and anyone working in the energy or building sectors to share their insights and contribute to more inclusive housing policies.
The Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) sets out a raft of measures to boost energy efficiency in the built environment, which raises questions about the impact on access to affordable housing. Understanding the potential impact of these policies on the housing sector is therefore essential. This study focuses on the implementation of the EPBD and how it will impact European urban areas.
The survey will gather information about:
- How the EPBD is perceived and applied in different contexts
- What stakeholders know, need, and expect about building renovations and energy efficiency
- The main barriers, opportunities, and social impacts of EPBD-related policies
- How energy performance improvements can support more inclusive and accessible housing systems
